Mr. Olympia 2006 Prejudging Update
Coleman, Cutler neck-and-neck at the Mr. O heading into Saturday's finale.
By FlexOnline
Ronnie Coleman's dream of winning a ninth Sandow could be in jeapordy as Jay Cutler,
in his best-ever shape, gave the reigning champion all he could handle at the 2006
Mr. Olympia prejudging on Friday night at Orleans Arena.
Coleman, who is attempting to break his tie with Lee Haney as the only eight-time
winners in Olympia history, appeared to have a clear path to his ninth at the start
of the contest. But Cutler's fullness and conditioning seemed to improve as the show
progressed, to the point that to many, the four-time runner-up may have finished the prejudging in the lead.
That said, 24 hours can be a long time in the field of bodybuilding conditioning.
Some guys improve, others go backwards. Therefore, tomorrow night's posing round,
finally, could be the deciding factor in determining who wins the 2006 Mr. Olympia crown.
