Meal Frequency and Mass Gains
Diet & Nutrition Written by: Lyle_McDonald

The issue of meal frequency for muscle mass gains would seem to be pretty well decided, right? Bodybuilders have been pushing for 6 (or more) meals per day spread out every 2.5-3 hours for decades and this is taken as an almost de-facto requirement for success in terms of optimal mass gains.

Are you an ectomorph, mesomorph or endomorph body type? To maximize your results, regardless of whether your goal is fat loss or muscle gain, it's helpful to know your body type and adjust your approach according to your type. But a big question that almost no one has ever answered is, "Does your body type change over time?"

Archive: Positive Nitrogen Balance, Hormone Manipulation and Recovery
Diet & Nutrition Written by: Jim_Brewster

Open up any bodybuilding magazine and you usually see pretty much the same articles recycled over and over, often offering little if anything new. Oh, sure, there are some decent articles every so often, but how often do you see an article on aspects like hormone manipulation, the importance of being in a positive nitrogen balance, or proper recovery?

Archive: Gone Crazy About Food with Leigh Peele
Diet & Nutrition Written by: Tom_Venuto

Has the whole world gone crazy about food? Before you answer, consider this: Some people think that as long as you eat "clean", you'll lose weight and calories don't matter. Some think that processed foods must be totally forbidden or you'll never lose weight. Some think carbs make you fat. Some think you're a bad person if you eat animals (and you'll die of cancer too). Some people think that if you eat non-organic fruits and vegetables, you'll grow three heads (and die of cancer too). Phew.

Archive: 5 Tips to Avoid Plateaus and Metabolic Slowdown
Diet & Nutrition Written by: Tom_Venuto

Is it possible to not lose body fat because you're eating too little? Yes and no. This gets a little complicated so let me explain both sides. Like the mythical unicorn, such an animal does not exist.
