Beginning Weight Training - Part 1
|
|
Written by: Lyle_McDonald
For the most part, articles about beginner's training aren't terribly popular. This is because, with literally no exception I have ever run into in nearly 20 years of doing this, everybody thinks that they are more advanced than they are. It’s simply human nature, nobody wants to think of themselves as a beginner or noob. In the world of training and dieting the consequence of this is that folks tend to jump into advanced training or diet interpretations long before they are either needed or useful or they have developed the necessary fundamentals.

Nothing in this article is intended to take the place of advice from a licensed health professional. Consult a physician before taking any medication. |

Written by: John_Romaniello
One of the questions I'm asked most frequently is, "Roman, how do you get your hair to sweep off to that side like that, making it appear concurrently meticulous and effortless? On a side note, how do you determine Caloric intake?"
I have no idea why that question is so prevalent in my email, or exactly what those two things have to do with one another.

Cardio and Fat Loss Myths Debunked
|
|
Written by: Alan_Aragon
The "Fat Burning Zone" On Trial - The Low Intensity Fat Burning Zone
Origin of the myth: Dietary variables aside, the body's proportional use of fat for fuel during exercise is dependent upon training intensity. The lower the intensity, the greater the proportion of stored fat is used for fuel. The higher the intensity, the greater proportional use of glycogen and/or the phosphagen system. But this is where the misunderstanding begins.

Written by: Tom_Venuto
"How can I gain muscle and lose fat at the same time?" That's right up there with "How do I get six pack abs" as one of the most frequently asked fitness questions of all time. The problem is, when you ask it, you get all kinds of conflicting answers - even from experts who are supposed to know these things.
